Museum

In Cetara, in the rooms of the Viceregal Tower, the first Museum dedicated to Fishing and Anchovy Colatura was created. The initiative was carried out as part of the memorandum of understanding signed by the Municipality of Cetara, the Association for the Enhancement of the Anchovy Colatura and the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production of the Federico II University of Naples.

It is a space where they will rest and age ancient barrels and terzigni where the precious amber liquid obtained from the maturation of salted anchovies is stored. The cellar museum also includes a small, but very important, library that will collect over time books, historical documents, newspapers, magazines, photographs dedicated to colatura, fishing and the roots of Cetara.
